After two weeks of pre-recorded shows, it was great to get back in the old routine and do the programme live on Monday. I got some nice feedback too, especially when I played a certain “Soul Smoothie” just to see what reaction I would get ! It’s included in the playlist below and if the penny doesn’t drop immediately make sure you hear the first half hour at least of this Saturday’s repeat play from 5pm …
I’ve spent a lot of time on refreshing the “Recommended Old Gits Nights Out” section of this blog too and though there are a healthy number of gigs to look forward to in January & February, there’s always room to plug a few more, so if you know of any or are putting one on yourself, do let me know via [email protected] or (01268)833978. I chased a couple of usually active DJs up too, who seemed not to have woken up yet after New Years Eve and they assured me that details on some as yet “missing” venues on the list will have confirmed dates soon, so as it says : ” watch this space ” !
