Neil Gits Achy Legs !

I am fully recovered from the Margate Soul Weekend now, but for about 48 hours after the event last Sunday/Monday, my poor old pins were killing me !! Strangely though, it was not due to dancing my socks off – my MSW expereience this year was a little different as I felt the urge to just keep wandering around from the Plaza to the harbour, the market square, the seafront, back to the Plaza, off to the Turner Art Gallery (never done that before!) , the various bars, the town centre and the newly re-opened Dreamland – then back to the Plaza again ! It was all ice creams, coca-colas, burgers hot dogs and photos this year  as I put the miles in on foot, taking little snippets of the whole experience in, without actually staying in one place long enough to really soak up the music. Bit daft really, but that’s me, “Silly Old Git” ! lol

However, there were one or two musical moments that stuck in my mind and you can hear the songs involved on my show this afternoon (Saturday) at 5pm when Monday’s live show is repeated.
