Local people came together on Saturday 20th June for an afternoon of family fun, entertainment and community spirit at the St. Luke’s Hospice Garden Party, held at the charity’s Thurrock Hospice.
Guests included the Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Bill Cook, alongside Hospice Trustees past and present, supporters, partners and members of the local community, who united to celebrate the power of Caring Together for the Hospice.
Visitors enjoyed a range of family-friendly entertainment, stalls hosted by local businesses, and the opportunity to learn more about the care and support provided by St. Luke’s Hospice.
A highlight of the event was the Hospice Blue Heart Display, showcasing hundreds of blue hearts purchased by supporters in aid of the charity. The display created a striking visual tribute to the importance of caring together and the ongoing support received from the local community.
Eileen Marshall, CEO of St. Luke’s Hospice, said:
“We were delighted to welcome so many people to our Garden Party and would like to thank everyone who attended, supported, volunteered or helped make the day such a success. It was wonderful to see our community come together, enjoy the celebrations and learn more about the vital work of the Hospice and how they can support us.”
