Summer Holiday Fun at Queens Theatre!

So during the summer holidays this year The Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch are putting on fun for kids.  This is running from the 31st July – 25th August.

Firstly if you are aged 4 – 6 and you love getting creative Queens Theatre have put on a lot of fun activities just for you; drama games, story telling and even craft activities for those who love to get messy.  This runs from Monday 21st August – Friday 25th August from 10am – 12noon.  From Puppet Pirates to Alien Adventures and Daring Dragons, the youngsters can use there over imaginative minds to have two hours of fun.  So what are the parents going to do? Sit around, browse the internet drinking plain old bottle water.  Nope if they book three sessions then you get it for the price of two sessions and you also get 10% off at the café, so there is something for everyone.  Each session only costs £10.

Secondly if your aged 7 – 11 then you have a full working week of fun drama, games and your chance to create a play which you can perform at the end of the week to your friends and family.  The course runs from the Monday 31st July – Friday 4th August, 09:30am – 13:30pm.  However places are £65 but the experience is well worth so I hope to see you there.

But if that is not for you and your are aged 9 – 16 and you absolutely love musicals then there is this wonderful chance for you to work with a director and a musical director to produce a well-known musical play that you can perform to your friends and family.  This course runs from Monday 14th August – Friday 18th August, 10am – 4pm.  Places are £100 so you better start saving before you get nagged by your children.

 

Just remember apart from all of the great activities going on there are main stage performances happening, so from Wednesday 9th August  – Saturday 12th August everyone’s favorite monster is back, The Gruffalo!! Tickets are £12.50.

 

Don ‘t forget all those under 5’s have been invited to a secret Teddy Bear Picnic, so don’t tell anyone. Shhhh!! This is on Tuesday 15th August and the kids can meet the biggest bear in the whole world. This show starts at 1pm and it includes a mixture of fun and games with plenty of fun prizes to be won throughout the play. Tickets are £10 per person of £35 for a family of 4.

 

Also a one-off performance on Wednesday 16th August at 2pm is The Little Mix Experience, a fun chance for the children to sing and dance along with Little Mix most loved and enjoyed songs. Tickets are £14 and it is suitable to all ages.
