The sun-worshippers have been in their element recently, with two scorching Bank Holiday Weekends to enjoy and lots of other lovely sunny days in between. Although I try not to complain too much about the heat and hayfever and all the other negatives summer brings to my life, personally my favourite times of year are the “in-between” seasons of Autumn and Spring. So, it has to be said that I feel hard done by this year in that we went straight from a long extended winter, with bitterly cold wet windy weather right through March, to an early summer with temperatures up in the unbearably hot high 20s – Spring seemed to last all of two days this year !! Booo !!!
However, everyone else seems to be happy, so on we go, playing smashing music for those cheeky Monday evening BBQs in the garden and hot tunes for you to pump out on the stereo in the convertable with the top down on your way across Basildon on the A127 or A13 – and let’s face it, soul music does sound exceptionally good at this time of year ! 🙂
