Romance can blossom anywhere, but for many of us, it is not uncommon to find love overseas. New research released today reveals six in ten Brits have had at least one holiday romance with more than half of those (51%) admitting to having more.

The majority of us (79%) are not going on holiday with the intention to fall in love, but the feeling of relaxation when away (65%), the romantic scenery (48%) and the warm weather (44%) can often influence us to find it when vacationing overseas. Holiday romances can be fun and are often commitment free, yet according to the research by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourist Board, almost half (49%) have kept in touch with their holiday romanceswith nearly one in five (19%) starting long term relationships and some (10%) even getting married.

Aston spoke to romance novelist Annie O’Neil and Cherrie Osborne from Antigua and Barbuda tourist board to discuss the research in more detail and reveal how Brits can find love on holiday this summer.
