While the UK’s period of strict lockdown earlier this year meant that many of our freedoms were restricted, our essential appointments were also impacted – including visits to the vet for help and advice for our beloved pets.
ITV1’s Inside Animal A&E is currently following the lives of the staff, volunteers and pets that came through the doors of Blue Cross’ Grimsby and London Victoria animal hospitals before Covid-19 struck. From poorly paws to life threatening surgeries, the eight-part series shows the dedication and hard work the Blue Cross team undertake every day as they care for sick and injured pets.
Whether it’s an issue with teeth cleaning, obesity, road traffic accidents or how to deal with a new puppy, Inside Animal A&E covers a range of common issues that many pets and their owners suffer from and don’t know how to deal with.
Aston spoke to Roisin Bolger, vetinary surgeon at Blue Cross to talk more about the Blue Cross series and the incredible characters we’ve seen so far, as well as the key pet health advice pet owners need to know from Inside Animal A&E.
