1st July 2014
Posted by Ashwyn Smyth

New week, new month, new edition of the British Blues Awards nominated Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8.

After the sad passing of Bobby Womack I have a track from The Rolling Stones plus tracks from two of the IBBA Albums of the Month by the Royal Southern Brotherhood and Rob Heron & the Tea Pad Orchestra.

There are also tracks from new and recent releases from Selwyn Birchwood, the Delta Generators, James Jared Nichols, Dave Fields, Philip Sayce, The Idle Hands, Janiva Magness, B.B. & The Blues Shacks, Paul Lamb & the Kingsnakes, Malcolm Holcomb, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, The Nighthawks and The Snyders.

In the gig guide you will hear tracks from Moreland & Arbuckle, Rev Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Bare Bones Boogie Band, Heritage Blues Orchestra, Paul Lamb & Chad Strentz, Big Boy Bloater & the Limits, King Size Slim and Giles Hedley.

There are two ‘nublues’ tracks from Heymoonshaker and Scarecrow and a great instrumental from Jimmy Thackeray.

Just as tasty as a bowl of strawberries & cream at Wimbledon and a fraction of the cost!!
