And the heat goes on! This week’s edition of the British Blues Awards nominated Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 is the usual eclectic mix with festival previews, birthday greetings, gig guide and some new releases.

I preview three upcoming festivals – Ealing, Upton and Ugriblues – with tracks from Dr Feelgood, The Proof, Northsyde, Never The Bride, Dale Storr, Babajack, Spikedrivers, Mark Harrison, NuBlues, The Juke Joints, Slack Alice, Thomas Ford, Robbie Hill & the Blue 62s, Steve Lury & Andres Roots Roundabout and Honey B & T-Bones.

In the gig guide there are tracks from Jim Crawford, Legend, Trafficker, Roadhouse, Sofie Reed and Grainne Duffy and then there are slices of birthday cake for Stevie Winwood (Spencer Davis Group) and Brian Auger and the Trinity. Room too for tracks from three new releases – Aynsley Lister (IBBA Album of the Month), Marcus Bonfanti and Stomp & Holler.
