On this week’s edition of Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8, loads to cram in as I salute winners of the Keeping the Blues Alive Awards 2014, mark some birthdays plus a very full gig guide.

I open with a track from Joanne Shaw Taylor’s just about to be released live CD/CVD and there are slices of birthday cake for Joe Walsh, Eddie Boyd, Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion and Dr John & the Lower 911 and in saluting KBA winners I have tracks from MonkeyJunk (Stony Plain Records), Buddy Guy (Tom Hambridge), Tas Cru, Quique Gomez & Luca Giordano, Rick Randlett and Sheba (Frank Rozak Radio Promotions).

In the gig guide there are tracks from Buddy Whittington, Hamilton Loomis, David Migden & the Dirty Words (just announced as the UK’s representatives at the 2014 European Blues Challenge, Pete G & the Magnitones, The Spikedrivers, Babajack, Rob Tognoni, Marcus Bonfanti and Aynsley Lister.

Then its time to get on your dancing shoes with new or recent releases from Oo Bop Sh’Bam, Sabrina Weeks & Swing Cat Bounce, Richie Milton, Jackson Sloan & the Rhythmtones and the Johnny Max Band.

Another cracker of a show, I hope you will agree.
