This week’s edition of Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 I look ahead to the Blues in the City Festival taking place in Chelmsford this weekend in aid of HEAL, Helen Rollason’s great cancer charity.

So I have tracks from The White Knuckle Blues Band, Papa George Band, The Nimmo Brothers, The Mighty Boss Cats, Blind Dead McJones Band, Dove & Boweevil Band, Clare Free Band, Kent Duchaine, Kyle & Moore, Rchard Dobney, Fran McGillivray Band, Blues Consortium, Katie Bradley, David Migden & the Dirty Words, Storm Warning, Roadhouse and Bad Influence.

In the rest of the gig guide I have tracks from Hokie Joint, Samantha Fish’s newly released CD and the Royal Southern Brotherhood. The last track for this month from the IBBA’s Album of the Month by Buddy Guy plus new tracks from Dr Pickup Blues Band, Sammy Hagar featuring Taj Mahal and Forty4.

Finally I remember the passing of John Bonham with a great Led Zeppelin track and round things off with a cracking instrumental from Bob Margolin.
