After a rather Stormy Monday this week’s edition of Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 offers the usual eclectic mix of new & recent releases and includes a look ahead to the final two days of the BluesFest in London.

We open with a brief remembrance of Gypie Mayo who sadly died last week with tracks from Dr Feelgood and the Yardbirds and there are new tracks from Leslie West with Johnny Winter, the Stoney Curtis Band, Mark Pontin Group, Paul Lamb & the Detroit Breakdown, Chris Duarte Group, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Phil Gates, Cotton Belly’s, Chris James & Patrick Rynn, Steve Howell & the Mighty Men, The Laura Holland Band, Clair Le Brocq & the Bordellos, Steady Rollin’ Revue feat Jo Harman and Babajack.

In a busy gig guide there are tracks from Black Cat Joe & Miss Corina, Ian Siegal & the Mississippi Mudbloods, the Royal Southern Brotherhood, The Motives featuring Matt Taylor, Chris Rea, Tim Aves & Wolfpack and Dale Storr and it is all rounded off with a great track from Red Young.

Sounds pretty darn good to me. Tune in and share some great music without any tricks but loads of treats!
