DIGITAL BLUES ON GATEWAY 97.8 HITS 150!

This Wednesday’s British Blues Awards nominated Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 celebrates the 150th edition of the show and during the first hour I am playing all the tracks that featured in the very first show back in October 2009.

So there are tracks from JJ Cale, Sonny Landreth, Joe Bonamassa, Jimi Hendrix, Hokie Joint, Matt Schofield, Kris Dollimore,Gregg Wright, Sherman Robertson & Blues Move, the Shakey Vick Blues Band featChrisYoulden and Brad Vickers & His Vestapolitans.

We mark the sad passing of the magnificent Maggie Ross with two tracks from her and we have a load of new and recent releases featuring more women in blues with tracks from Theresa James & the Rhythm Tramps, The Blues Broads, Liz Mandeville, Bex Marshall, Sandi Thom and Joanne Shaw Taylor

In the gig guide there are tracks from Lightning Willie & the Poorboys,Dani Wildeand the David Raphael Band. Plus there are tracks from Steve Roux & the Whiteknuckle Blues Band and Sam Hare.
