Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 this Wednesday, another two hours of great blues tracks new and not so new.

In an extended Gig Guide there are tracks from all six contestants in Essex heat of the New Brunswick Battle of the Blues which takes place on the 24th January at the New Crawdaddy Blues Club at The Belvedere, Hardings Elms Road, Crays Hill, Billericay. So look out for tracks from Sonic Blue, The Ben Smith Band, Dove & Boweevil Band, The Paul Garner Band, Joe Topping Trio and The Mighty Bosscats. Plus tracks from Katie Bradley, Dr Feelgood and Wilko Johnson.

We remember the passings of Tommy Tucker and Etta James and the birthday of Sleepy John Estes. With Burns Night just a couple of days away tracks from Scottish artists Dave Arcari, the Binsness Blues Boys, Baby Isaac, The Blueswater, Cynthia Gentle & the TrueTones, Laura-May & the Bel-Airs and Leah should get you in the mood!

Another track from the new release from Robin Trower plus great tracks from The Phantom Blues Band, Lisa Mills and Don Baker make this yet another two hours you will not want to miss!
