Here is a selection of results from the recent performances of Team England
William Sharman of Team England won silver in the men’s 110m hurdles final. Track events are a speciality of Jamaica and it was Andrew Riley of Team Jamaica who won the gold.
Laura Weightman of Team England won a silver medal in the women’s 1500m final. She was beaten to the gold by Faith Chepngetich Kibiegon from Kenya.
In the Queen’s prize individual shooting final, David Luckman from Team England won the gold medal. Also Pareg Patel of Team England won the bronze medal. Jim Paton of Canada won the silver medal.
Benjamin Proud of Team England won Gold in the men’s 50m beating the Australian duo Cameron McEvoy and James Magnussen.
In the men’s 100m x 4 relay it was Team England who came out on top with Australia finishing second and South Africa finishing third. In the women’s relay Team England finished second earning silver medals. Team Australia won the gold and Team Canada won the bronze medal.
