Angela Rippon on The Big Dementia Conversation

According to research, 80% of adults believe dementia is still misunderstood, either due to misconceptions about the condition, or because of embarrassment. 

While 69% think it’s a subject which is not talked about enough in society, 73% put this down to a lack of knowledge.

The poll commissioned by Care UK*, which have launched ‘The Big Dementia Conversation’ in a bid to encourage people to have more conversations about dementia also discovered only 48% of respondents were aware it can affect a person’s personality.
