Brits have a problem with their gut health

At this time of year, thousands of us are setting goals for the year ahead. And as you might expect, health goals are the most popular – with a quarter (23%) of Brits looking to live healthier in 2023. But one area that may need more attention is our gut health. With research estimating that up to 40% of us experience gut problems, we desperately need to take a hard look at our digestive well-being.

Thankfully, scientists have discovered ERME, a unique ingredient derived from sustainable barley. The ancient process of malting releases the enzyme within the barley that works with the existing gut flora to break down carbohydrates before they can reach the gut and cause problems such as bloating, stomach cramps, constipation and diarrhoea, which are associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Aston spoke to physiologist Jordan Haworth a.k.a Mr Gut Health.
