Charity Every Child Online partners with NSPCC’s Childline to empower vulnerable children through technology

Every Child Online, an innovative Essex based charity dedicated to bridging the digital divide
among UK children and young adults, is delighted to announce its partnership with the NSPCC’s
Childline charity. This collaboration aims to provide vital support to vulnerable children by placing
specially designed stickers on all refurbished PCs and laptops distributed by Every Child Online. These stickers promote the Childline website and encourage children in need to reach out for the help they deserve.

Childline, a service provided by the NSPCC, has been at the forefront of protecting and supporting
children for over 35 years. The helpline, available 24/7, ensures that children facing various
challenges, including abuse, neglect, bullying, or mental health issues, have a safe and confidential
space to seek guidance and assistance.

By affixing Childline stickers on the refurbished computers and laptops it donates to schools and
other charities, Every Child Online is extending the reach of this crucial service to children in need.
Through these stickers, Every Child Online aims to raise awareness about Childline among vulnerable
children who may not have access to support systems due to their circumstances, including those in
deprived areas.

The partnership between Every Child Online and Childline is a significant step towards empowering
vulnerable children by combining the power of technology and critical support services. Every Child
Online’s mission of providing refurbished computers and laptops to children in need aligns perfectly
with Childline’s commitment to ensuring every child’s safety and well-being.

By donating their used devices, individuals and businesses have been instrumental in enabling Every
Child Online to offer refurbished computers and laptops to children who may not have had access to
such resources otherwise. This collaboration with Childline adds another layer of support, making
sure that these children can also reach out for help when they need it the most.

Mike Tarbard, Chief Executive Officer of Every Child Online said:

“We are thrilled to join forces with Childline and amplify their exceptional services through our
refurbished computers and laptops.

“By placing Childline stickers on these devices, we aim to not only provide access to
technology but also connect vulnerable children with the vital support they require. Together, we
can make a meaningful impact on the lives of countless children across the country.”

Childline offers a wide scope of services to children, including:

Confidential Helpline: Trained professionals are available 24/7 to listen, offer support, and provide
advice on a wide range of issues, ensuring children always have someone to turn to.

Online Chat: Childline’s website features a secure chat service where children can communicate with
trained counsellors in real time, seeking guidance and support from the comfort of their own space.
Information and Advice: Childline provides a wealth of resources and information on various topics
relevant to children’s well-being, empowering them to make informed decisions.

Every Child Online’s partnership with Childline will help close the support gap for vulnerable children
in deprived areas. By providing access to refurbished computers and laptops, these children can now
explore educational opportunities, broaden their horizons, and, most importantly, seek assistance
from Childline when they need it.

Nolan Cormac, Service Head, Childline Online Service at Childline said:

“Childline is thrilled to partner with Every Child Online in this important endeavour,

“By placing stickers promoting the Childline website on refurbished PCs and laptops, Every Child Online is not only providing access to technology but also connecting vulnerable children with the vital support they may desperately need. Together, we can ensure that no child feels alone or without help when facing difficult times.

“This partnership is a powerful step towards empowering children and safeguarding their well-being.”
