Chef Dean Edwards on rethinking canned vs. fresh foods

The age-old debate of canned vs. fresh foods takes a surprising turn. A staggering 79% of participants in blind taste tests, showed a preference for the canned version of pasta bake, while 61% leaned towards canned chicken and mushroom pie, suggesting that canned ingredients can indeed rival fresh ones in terms of ease and overall tastyness.

This in-depth research, involving 504 participants for the Love Canned Food campaign, reveals that in the realm of taste, canned foods are giving fresh a run for their money.

Canned foods require minimal cooking or preparation, resulting in lower energy costs compared to fresh or frozen foods.
