Do dogs enjoy holidays as much as people?

Have you ever wondered what sandy paws mean for your dog’s wellbeing, beyond the perfect Instagram photo?

As new figures show the holiday park, Haven, has seen a 12% increase year on year in the number of bookings where dogs holiday with their humans, TV pet behaviourist, Leon Towers, has been seeking to answer the question ‘do dogs enjoy going on holiday?’

To put his hypothesis to the test, Leon conducted an experiment using Golden Retriever, influencer Huxley. By analysing Tractive GPS data from Huxley’s recent beach-side holiday and comparing it to his activity levels at home.

Aston spoke to animal behaviourist and TV presenter Leon Towers and Sarah Chapman, chief customer officer of Haven Holidays.
