Do we give up being trendy at 35?

From Y2K to fairycore, maximalist to minimalist, there’s no denying that we are seeing more fashion trends now, than ever before.

New research has found that over a third (37%) feel overwhelmed by the volume of trends sweeping the fashion pages and their social media feeds, resulting in people giving up trying to be ‘trendy’ at the average age of 35.

According to new research commissioned by online personal styling service, Stitch Fix UK over a third (38%) of peple don’t have the confidence to try new fashion trends.

Aston spoke to fashion psychologist Dr Carolyn Mair.
