Nearly half (47%) of children think they never eat vegetables but a sneaky one in five (22%) parents hide them in every meal.
The survey of parents with kids aged between 6 and 11 discovered the most successful hacks mum and dads use – including chores before rewards, no sweet foods until they’ve eaten their savoury and grating vegetables into meals.
The research conducted by Warburtons also found that children who reckon they get the equivalent of fewer than three portions of fruit and veg a day. Not surprising when one in four think carrot cake is a healthy option.
