First celebrity eliminated from Strictly 2024

Week 2 of Strictly Come Dancing saw the scores from week 1 carried over to them produce a combined score from the judges and also the first elimination of the series as well.

Topping the judges leaderboard for the first time this series was Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec with a score of 35/40 for their Viennese Waltz. Not far behind with a score of 32/40 was actress Sarah Hadland and her dance partner Vito Coppola for their Paso Doble. They were also the highest scorers combined with scores of 65/80 and 62/80 respectively. At the bottom this week was football legend Paul Merson and his dance partner Karen Hauer with a score of 15/40 for their Salsa. But, bottom on combined scores was singer and actress Toyah Wilcox and her dance partner Neil Jones with a combined score of 30/80.

The first dance off the series saw Olympic gold medalist swimmer Tom Dean and his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova and singer and actress Toyah Wilcox and her dance partner Neil Jones. The judges voted to keep Toyah meaning that Tom became the first celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2024.

Strictly Come Dancing will return this weekend for movie week where another celebrity will be eliminated.
