Listen: how to get through ‘Dry January’

6th January 2021
Posted by Aston Avery

It’s Dry January, the time where people across the UK put down the booze and embrace a teetotal lifestyle for the month of January.

Since its inception in 2013, the month has grown year-on-year with 4 million Brits taking part in the challenge in 2020, and after a tumultuous year, many people will likely look to reset their relationship with alcohol in 2021.

More and more Brits, however, are kicking their drinking habit for good. While there is an upward trend in teetotalism across all age brackets, research suggests that it is the youngest demographic leading the way, with 16-24 year olds revealed as the least likely to indulge in alcohol  In fact, almost a third of this age group now don’t touch alcohol at all.

Aston spoke to Azhar Paul, non-alcoholic drink creator and expert and founder of Azanti Sober Lifestyle to discuss more about Dry January.
