Listen: Leading charity calls for mobile phone price hike to be scrapped

Mobile and broadband providers will introduce some of their highest increases on record, impacting more than 40 million people in the UK. Today, calls from a leading provider and debt charity are being made to reverse the price hikes, which will widen an already growing digital divide.

Newly released YouGov research reveals these unexpected price hikes, which have been hidden in contracts, will impact millions of households already struggling financially. 1 in 8 people fear being disconnected and 1 in 3 are concerned that they will slide into further debt.

Aston spoke to Karen Perrier, CEO at Money Advice Plus to discuss why they’re calling for this years mobile phone price hike to be scrapped.
