Listen: saving energy at work

Energy efficiency is a hot topic and with winter just around the corner, the use of heating and lighting across Great Britain is on the up. This may be concerning for many small businessowners who could see increasing bills eating into their profits.

New research reveals over half (62%) of small businesses are concerned the rise in energy costs will affect their ability to operate this winter. The research also confirms the theory that 85% of business owners suspect – their employees are much more energy conscious at home than they are in the workplace!

Almost three quarters (74%) of office workers admit they pay more attention to their energy use at home than they do in their workplace. 60% of employees charge their phone at work so they don’t have to do it at home and over a quarter (29%) of office workers shower at work instead of home.
