New treatment available for children with severe Psoriasis
Around 22,000 children and young people in England and Wales live with psoriasis, a chronic skin condition that can greatly impact their quality of life.
Now they’ve access to a new treatment on the NHS following a recommendation from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
Novartis Cosentyx® ( pronounced co-sen- ticks) is an option for treating moderate to severe ‘plaque psoriasis ‘ in children and young people aged 6 to 17 years who have not responded to other forms of treatment.
Aston spoke to dermatologist Dr Anthony Bewley.
