Renters want help for Christmas

With the freezing cold temperatures and daylight gone by 5pm, winter is a time when we see a natural increase in our bills as the heating and lights are switched on.

However, with the current fuel crisis seeing an increase in energy prices, ongoing hikes in household bills are proving to be a major concern for millions of households across the country, including the UK’s renters.

In fact, half of renters (49%) are worried about how they will pay their bills with 62% indicating they may struggle to pay their rent this winter. 57% admit these concerns are having a negative impact on their mental health.

Aston spoke to property expert Kate Faulkner and Iagan MacNeil, head of policy at Smart Energy GB.
