Strictly Come Dancing celebrates music icons

Following the elimination of medic medic & GP Dr Punam Krishan, the remaining 10 couples took to the dance floor as icons of music which ranged from Freddie Mercury to Taylor Swift and from Beatles to Whitney Houtson.

It’s was couple’s choice galore at the top of the judges leaderboard as JLS singer JB Gill and his dance partner Lauren Oakley (who filled in for Amy Dowden this week as she recovered from illness) and Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec both topping the judges leaderboard with a score 39/40 for their Bruno Mars and Pink inspired routines.

There was a shock dance off contenders as Olympic gold medalist and TV presenter Sam Quek and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin and Gladiator Montell Douglas and her dance partner Johannes Radebe found themselves in the dance off. The judges unaminously voted to keep Montell meaning that Sam’s time on Strictly Come Dancing is over.

Strictly Come Dancing will return this weekend as the remaining couples will try and book their place to Blackpool.
