Strictly Come Dancing update week 5

Following the elimination of TV presenter Nick Knowles the remainnig 12 couples took to the dancefloor to impress the judges as well as the public.

For the first time this series 2 celebrities topped the judges leaderboard and they were both first timers topping the judges leaderboard and they were Eastenders actor Jamie Borthwick and his dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas and Gladiator Montell Douglas and her dance partner Johannes Radebe both scoring 39/40 for their Paso Doble & Couples Choice respectively. Closest to them with a score of 35/40 was comedian Chris McCausland and his dance partner Dianne Buswell for their Waltz.

For the second time this series football legend and pundit Paul Merson and his dance partner Karen Hauer found themselves in the dance off along with JLS singer JB Gill and his dance partner Amy Dowden. The judges unaminously voted to save JB meaning that Paul became the fourth celebrity eliminated from Strictly 2024.

Strictly Come Dancing will return this weekend for their Halloween themed week.
