Travellers of 2033 will travel more sustainably

Travelers will become increasingly open to new and emerging technologies and look to travel in more sustainable ways over the next decade.

However, fears about cyber-security and political instability limiting their travel options will also increase, setting new challenges for the travel industry.

These are the findings of a report which has gathered insight from 22 experts, analysing the actions of 10,345 travellers from 15 countries and collecting 5.84 million data points from travel industry trends.

The global research study – Traveler Tribes 2033 – from travel technology company Amadeus shows that tech will be at the forefront of travellers’ minds within a decade, with almost half (44%) believing they will be able to get further, quicker thanks to advancements.
