With just one day to go until the 29 August 2019 PPI complaints deadline, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is urging consumers to act immediately before they lose their chance to make a decision about whether or not to claim back money for Payment Protection Insurance.

The FCA has enlisted the help of much-loved TV personality Alison Hammond for the final PPI countdown. With an enthusiasm that is contagious, she’s on board to urge the public to take action during this final push to act now and make a decision – before the deadline arrives.

New research*, released by the FCA, to mark the final 48 hours of its PPI deadline campaign shows, of those who leave it to the last minute: • A third (34%) of people will leave their decision about whether to claim for PPI to the last 24 hours • A quarter (24%) won’t decide until literally the final few hours.

Aston spoke to Alison Hammond, TV personality and Emma Stranack, PPI deadline campaign lead for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to explain how listeners can submit a complaint before the deadline on Thursday.
