Tyler West backing new campaign

New statistics released this year show that nearly one in ten people globally have no clean water, and in Zambia, almost a third of people lack access to this basic human right, and climate change is making the situation worse. The climate crisis is a water crisis, with more extreme floods polluting fragile water sources and longer droughts drying up springs and wells.

Tyler West, WaterAid’s newest ambassador, met families and schoolchildren who spoke about the devastating impact a lack of clean water and decent sanitation has on their health, education, and livelihoods.

He also visited communities and schools where WaterAid has worked to help bring clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene. These three essentials can make a huge difference and can help people build resilience to the changing climate.

Aston spoke to broadcaster and 2022 Strictly Come Dancing contestant Tyler West.
