It’s January 2021, a time for change! The most popular New Year’s resolution for Brits is losing weight, another is going meat free. Now, in a UK first the two are being combined with the launch of the UK’s first exclusively plant-based online weight-loss club to mark ‘Veganuary’.
‘Healthier for Life’ will provide online support for those wanting to adopt a healthier lifestyle and lose weight through plant-based eating. It will also have one of the largest plant-based recipes in one place, anywhere else online. Taking away the confusion, with three simple weight loss plans supported by real coaches, access to over 1,200 plant-based recipe and hundreds of health and wellbeing articles and exercise videos.
Studies have shown those adopting a plant-based or vegan lifestyle have a lower prevalence of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Plant based diets can also help to prevent some cancers and reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Following weight loss plans and support groups can also be an excellent resource for people looking to lose weight in a healthy, managed way.
Aston spoke to Sarah Skelton, founder of Healthier For Life and author to explain more about the club, and how you can get involved in ‘Veganuary’.
