Unusual food combos

Thousands of Brits have revealed the ‘weird’ food combinations they’ve discovered this year.

From the potentially inedible to the intriguingly plausible, the submissions have been whittled down to a list of the 50 Weirdest British Food Combos, including fishfingers with custard; smashed avocado with chocolate; and honey on pizza.

Some members of the public even admitted to making coff-tea, a combination of coffee and tea… in the same cup.

According to the findings by Ocado, which has itself paired with M&S, 27 per cent of adults have created a unique weird food combo this year.

Aston spoke to Niki Segnit, author of “The Flavour Thesaurus” to discuss more on the weird and wonderful unusual food combos that everyone seems to be trying out.
