When did you last look at a holiday brochure?

Can you remember the last time you walked into your local travel agent and picked up a couple of brochures on the destination you’d like to go to? Have you heard of Louis Cole or Sorelle Amore? Would you like to travel the world and get paid to do it? Obviously the answer to this one would be ‘yes’.

Well you’re not alone. According to new research by BorderlessLive nearly a fifth (19%) of UK adults are just as likely to book a holiday based on posts they’ve seen on social media as they are to pick a destination from traditional holiday brochures (23%). You might not even know that you’re being influenced by social media as almost a third (30%) of over 45s get their holiday inspiration from family and friends. If those are aged 16-34, 35% of them are getting their inspiration from social media and most likely passing that on to you.
