Zara McDermott & Sam Thompson on ending the stigma on period education

According to research, half of parents say discussing periods with their children makes them feel uncomfortable.

The pressure of such a key conversation in a young person’s life means a quarter of parents (26%) are worried about being seen as insensitive if they say something wrong.

In fact, the research, carried out by Always* as part of their ongoing mission to help improve period education showed more than a third (34%) of parents have been faced with their child asking a question related to puberty education that they didn’t know how to answer.
