NHS England choose AI partners for cancer fighting program
Pulmonary nodules are abnormal growths that form in a lung. Most are benign and do not require treatment, but a small number do represent early lung cancer.
The NHS England Targeted Lung Health Checks (TLHC) programme is the first large-scale lung cancer screening initiative substantially supported by artificial intelligence, looking to detect approximately 3,400 cancers and save hundreds of lives by 2025.
Veye Lung Nodules, the Aidence-designed AI solution, automatically detects, measures, classifies, and tracks the growth of pulmonary nodules on chest CTs – all laborious and time-consuming tasks for clinicians when performed manually.
Ros spoke to Lizzie Barclay, medical director at Aidence.
