TV favourites inspiring new holiday hangouts this summer

According to new research, almost a third (32%) of people in the UK are inspired to travel based on what they watch on TV, with the most sought-after destinations being linked to hit TV shows.

Adults aged 18-34 are most likely to feel this urge, with 58% admitting they’ve been inspired to travel based on a TV show.

But many popular holiday hotspots are also becoming more appealing to mosquitoes, with rising temperatures and changing rainfall patterns increasing the number of areas disease-carrying mosquitoes can live in, potentially spreading diseases to new places.

BewareOfTheBugs.com, an initiative from speciality vaccine company, Valneva, has released the most popular holiday destinations inspired by hit TV shows, alongside some of the mosquito-borne health risks to be aware of if you plan to travel there.
