Spending time glued to the bright lights of our phones, tablets and laptops seems unavoidable in modern life – but how do we set boundaries that strike the perfect balance between living in a virtual world and still enjoying the experiences of the real world around us?

As technology advances, almost three quarters (71%) of young people aged between 18-34 believe that we will spend more time in the virtual world in the future, according to research by Magnum.

However, one in ten have concerns about setting boundaries on and offline and over half (55%) say they are worried about the amount of time that they spend online in total.

Ros spoke to neuroscientist and author Dr Jack Lewis.
