If you are looking at somewhere to go for a evening or a day out I have Five events that might be intresting
1.One Step Behind-The Masters of Madness 31st July
Each member of One Step Behind grew up as a Madness fan and for each, perfecting his portrayal of his original Madness counterpart has been a labour of love. They strive to match every detail of the original, both musically and in appearance.
Like Madness, One Step Behind are well known for their on-stage antics. This is One Step Behinds philosophy – to carry forward the Mad mantle into the noughties and beyond.
They feel that by replicating one of the nation’s best-loved institutions, they are keeping alive the spirit that inspired a whole generation, it still enjoys enormous popularity today. One Step Behind see themselves as perpetuating the popularity of Madness, who now rarely appear in public.

5.Leigh On Sea Maritime Festival Sunday 2nd August 11:00am-4pm
After the success of our first Maritime Festival last year, plans are afoot to have even more attractions from the popular ‘Kids Zone’ on Strand Wharf where we all had lots of crabbing fun to a featured exhibit on ‘The London’, the nautical archaeological local discovery, with a chance to view some of the relics from the dive site.
Also to add to the community spirit of the festival if any visitors (old or young) wish to come in fancy dress, they are more than welcome to do so. Obviously a maritime or nautical theme is the preferred option.
There is something for everyone as this holiday festival will include a special Italian food market as well as Really Homemade Craft Fayre and a lot of entertainment.
As with all Leigh Town Council events, it is free to all but we do hope our visitors will be generous in making a donation to our nominated charities including RNLI.
