Basildon Mayor wishes Gateway 97.8 a happy 10th birthday

Today, Gateway 97.8 celebrates its 10th birthday. The station, which has been serving the community for a decade, broadcasts across Basildon and East Thurrock.

David Burton-Sampson, the Basildon Borough Mayor, congratulated the team:

“I am really pleased that Gateway 97.8 has reached this milestone.

“I thank them for the work they have done over the last 10 years and the support they have given in developing young people within the broadcasting field.

“Community radio is vitally important and we must treasure and support it. Happy birthday Gateway 97.8!
