Local radio station, Gateway 97.8, has won three awards at the annual national Community Radio Awards.
The station, which celebrated its 10th birthday this year, is one of 300 community radio stations across the UK.
Well done to Gateway 97.8 Editor, Johnny Jenkins, for winning Young Person of the Year.
The 12-hour 2019 election special, hosted by David Webster and Johnny Jenkins, also won in its category.
Basildon Question Time, hosted by Johnny Jenkins, won the gold award for Speech & Journalism.
Congratulations to Tyler Pittaway for winning the bronze Best Entertainment award.
Award-winner, Johnny Jenkins, said:

“It’s a testament to the hard work of the team, who have been working tirelessly to remain on air in this difficult year.
