Government minister wishes Gateway 97.8 a happy 10th birthday

Today, Gateway 97.8 celebrates its 10th birthday. The station, which has been serving the community for a decade, broadcasts across Basildon and East Thurrock.

John Whittingdale, Minister of State for Media and Data in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, congratulated the team:

I was delighted to hear about the success of your ‘On The Radio’ project – a fantastic initiative, which I’m sure will have brought a great deal of pleasure to many listeners across the UK during these difficult times.
