Sigh…another year has been added to my age since the last show so now I am closer to being too old even to be an “Old Git” ! To be honest, I am not really bothered about my age ( a mere 49 now ) and I enjoyed my traditional “birthday adventure” as much as when I was in my 20s, if not more. This year I stopped at a B’n’B in Redcar, a seaside town up north which was as underwhelming as say Felixstowe is in the south, but sold food and served drinks and the weather was really nice for a long relaxing walk. Even better was the long scenic drive down the North East Yorkshire coast via Whitby and across the Moors, of course made even more enjoyable by the presence of some choice CDs in the car – and yes you will hear some of the tracks I re-discovered in the show soon !
