The final weekend of June is set to be very, very hot. Highs of 29 degrees Celsius are expected in Basildon on Saturday and the mercury could creep even higher than that!
What should people do during a Heatwave?
- Wear sunscreen when you are outside to protect your skin from getting sunburnt,
- Take hay fever medication if needed, as pollen levels will be very high,
- Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from high UV levels,
- Seek shade as places will be very busy.
All these things are very important and people must be careful whilst enjoying themselves during this late-June heatwave.
