Neil Gits Achy Legs

I am suffering just a little bit today after an adventurous 365 mile round trip on Saturday to the Derbyshire Dales to watch football … and climb over a mountain !! It was a fantastic adventure on a wonderful day that just had to be done before the weather turns for winter, but now I am looking forward to relaxing in the studio this evening and am definitely in need of some soothing soul today. There are some notable highlights on tonight’s show including … An “Unknown Soul Tune” by a girl group who originally featured Motown legend Martha Reeves … A brand new gem by two big names of the 90s Club Classic / Handbag Hits era with a big 70s soul feel to it … A “Vinyl Reminder” goodie from one of Sister Sledge’s less successful albums … and a “Super Smooth Soul Segue” to ease any soul fan’s Monday blues featuring Lionel Richie & Will Downing. If you can’t get home in time to listen online, don’t forget you can hear the show on Gateway 97.8FM with our new improved signal reaching well beyond Basildon & East Thurrock now …

In the meantime, just to whet your appetite, these are the tracks I gave a spin to on last week’s show :

Shakatak – Easier Said Than Done
Johnny Mathis – Love Never Felt So Good
George McCrae – It’s Been So Long
Lee Dorsey – Working In A Coalmine
Level 42 – Love Meeting Love
Walter Jackson –Touching In The Dark
Kenny G feat Lenny Williams – Don’t Make Me Wait For Love
Rockie Robbins – We Belong Together
Peter Jacques Band – Walkin’ On Music
Whispers – It’s A Love Thing
Los Charly’s Orchestra feat Xantone Blacq – All Around The World
Herbie Hancock – Just Around The Corner
Barry White – Let The Music Play (Original LP Version)
Anthony White – Never Let You Get Away From Me
Evelyn King – Love Come Down
Bah Samba – Let The Drums Speak
Loretta Ft. Gimenez-E – So Alive
Jean Carn – Don’t Let It Go To Your Head
The Soul Ambassadors – I’ve Got The Feeling
Donna Summer – Heaven Knows
Earl Young & Daryl Grant – Power Of Love (Connoisseurs Mix)

I know quite a few people listen to the repeat play on Saturdays at 5pm and might have been cursing me for not posting the playlist in time this wekend – but I was far too busy enjoying myself, sorry ! 😉

On we go and back to normal, live on air at 7pm this evening (Monday) as usual …
