On the air this week fresh back from our Summer Road Trip 2013! We revisited Bournemouth this time, having been there just a couple of years ago with mum and didn’t realize how good it was there – much better than my childhood recollections of the place and definitely better going there again just the two of us without having to push Nanny Peggy up and down the hills in her wheelchair! We had a great time,but there were hiccups inevitably along the way – me kneeling on and breaking my sunglasses while packing the car, finding the tennis courts opposite our BnB had been recently taken over and were now not allowing “pay & play” but members only (cue one Nathan tantrum!) , walking down to the pier (25 mins!) to find the boat trip we’d planned was cancelled as the vessel needed a new gearbox, then walking up the hill again to the Pizza Hut just as their computer system conked out causing huge delays. But we waited… 😉 I also got beaten TWICE at crazy golf – NO!!! 🙁 🙁 🙁 but it was overall a good break…
