I think I may well be in the vast minority when I say “Thank God there’s not another Bank Holiday till the end of August !” – but to be frank, I am looking forward to getting a good run at my normal routine after three disrupted weekends out of the last seven. It’s just that I like to take my time out when everyone else is out at work and visit places that are most enjoyable at their quietest – yes, I know I am a bit different like that !
However, a Bank Holiday Monday does give me licence to put together a special show now and again and last Monday it was a “Bumper 70s & 80s Special” , packed full of some of the top names in soul, jazz-funk & disco from those two decades – and you can hear it again from 5-7pm this evening (Saturday) !
