I’ve really been pulling out some little beauties from my vinyl vaults and some forgotten corners of the CD collection lately and I think it’s safe to say this week’s show is the best one so far this year – out of the four I’ve done ! If you love all things soulful, from vintage 60s flavours to disco hits from the dancefloor, with a touch of jazz and funk thrown in for good measure, plus of course some of those big tunes we learnt to dance to on the floors of the 70s & 80s, then this is a must-not-miss week – hear it again at 5pm this Saturday.
However, one tune that didn’t get an airing, that I really wanted to share with you didn’t make it into the studio. Sure the case did, but when I opened it up, no CD inside – doh ! Senior moment ! Left it in the car cd player ! Just one of the few downsides of being an “Old Git” – on the plus side, I am able to come up with tune after tune like these which DID find their way into Gateway last Monday:
